Hello, and thank you for logging on to our website.
Well it's been another fantastic year for Cantata raising over £2000 for local and national charities with our Summer Serenade Concert Season. As well as performing to church audiences around the local counties we have also been entertaining at birthday parties as well as taking some time out to visit Chester, where we enjoyed a long weekend away at Sandford Hall! As you may have noticed we have a new and improved website thanks to our Publicity Officer, Craig Butterworth and Sound and Lighting Engineer, Nick Malysz. We hope you enjoy browsing it and can easily find out more about the group. Cantata continue to grow from strength to strength and we would like to welcome our three new members, Craig Arme, Helen Burton and Lynn Towle! We are also pleased to announce the return of Gary Peake! This year we return to reviews, as well as concerts, and in our ever changing and challenging programme we have decided to concentrate on modern musicals and shows that have been enjoying West End Revivals. We will be performing at our regular church venues as well as hoping to return to the Guildhall Theatre in Derby for a new combined venture with Diventio Brass! Our chosen charity for 2010 is Beating Bowel Cancer to which we have produced a bums calendar (Bum Notes) with local award winning photographer, David J Severn.
